Vienna to the Danube Delta via the Night Mail

From Vienna Hauptbahnhof aboard the D 347 Dacia — one of the last great overnight rail services still threading the Carpathians — southeastward through the breadth of Romania to Tulcea, and onward by river ferry to Sfântu Gheorghe: the place where the Danube runs out of continent and becomes sea. Undertaken in company with a local companion from Cluj-Napoca.
